Rude ppl

something happened last night when i went to walmart to pick up a half gallon of milk. a simple container of milk, and what should have been a simple transaction at the cash register ... i dont think i'll voluntarily shop at that store anymore.

i still support akiko, who is still a minor. did i mention that? is that anyone's business?

apparently cashier michelle thought so.

akiko used her employee discount card when i purchased the milk, and the cashier told me that i am not supposed to use her discount card for my purchases unless she is still a minor living at home, etc etc etc.

what SHOULD have been a simple three minute transaction at most, took much longer. and it left me mortally offended.

not just with the cashier, who akiko tells me, is a very good cashier. not just with akiko, who told me that if i'm so offended i should speak with management because it won't mean anything coming from her.

i'm truly mortally offended that ANYONE would think i'd go out of my way to steal what amounted to less than a quarter from anyone.

because that's what it boils down to. an accusation of stealing.

i am one of those ppl who go back to a store and pay for an item if the cashier did not charge me enough for it. i am one of those ppl who turn in the money when someone or even a vending machine gives me too much change. i work long and hard for my money, and when i shop i don't need that kind of grief.

and the stupidest thing about it?

i'm lactose intolerant. i was buying the milk for the family, not me.
