teflon john

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm ... yanno, i actually sort of thought at one point that i was a republican *gasp* yeah, it's true though. voting dems means your taxes go straight up to pay for all those nifty dem programs ... social programs, education, all that schtuff.

... figured ur taxes?

our great grandkids are gonna still be paying for this war. and quite seriously now ... put on ur thinking caps and let's take a look at some of the other statements ...
  • iraq is NOT japan. we leveled two major cities in japan with atomic bombs (even if we KNEW that it would have consequences for generations). true, we've occupied japan since, or at least, we still maintain military forces there. but this war is not like that war. we are taught in history class that dropping the atom bombs was a preemptive strike ... that it was the ONLY way to quickly end the war ... which is completely different from saying we're gonna fight in iraq until they aren't fighting us anymore and then we're gonna stay there until it's become a total democracy like we have ... ummmmmmmmmm ... no, wait, the story changes here ... cos we're gonna fight there till that terrorist group is gone? no, wait, the story changes here cos i THOUGHT those terrorists were why we're in afghanistan? no, wait ... hmmmmmmmmmmmmm ....
  • the economy ... hey now ... any common joe or jane who's been struggling to keep their car running, pay the bills, buy groceries, etc knows that the republican "gift" of giving back $300 isn't going to go very far. that isn't even one month of groceries, people. and wait ... i hear there's a catch to it ... because this is supposed to be a target year for the IRS to crack down on those of us who can't even afford to pay those rising taxes (you know, war is NOT a cheap commodity) ...
  • health care ... have u seen photo's of this candidate? i would think health care and senior programs might be kind of high on his list ... but maybe i'm wrong. maybe the problem is, i think like that cos i'm one of the common folk
  • or maybe i'm not because i just don't think floating the idea of rice on the ticket is going to convince me that he has my interests in mind. i might be female and nonwhite, but i don't switch parties just because there MIGHT be a minority person on the ticket
  • speaking of minorities ... son of a gun ... yanno, she's only two out of many ... maybe the republicans will get "LUCKY" and find a loyal republican who is female, nonwhite, physically challenged, economically disadvantaged, .... yeah my parents used to read fairy tales to me, too. the thing is, in a fairy tale, have u ever noticed that something really really bad always happens?

teflon john. i can understand that nick. because he seems to put his foot in his mouth every time he speaks ... and the republicans don't think any of that is gonna stick.

it's sort of the teflon fallacy in cooking. teflon is great cos nothing sticks to it ... but don't forget that you're gonna spend a fortune in accessories like special cooking utensils (so u don't scratch the wonderful surface), special cleaning stuff (so u don't mar the wonderful surface), and it can only be used under certain circumstances ... nothing acidic or base in it (u don't wanna mar the wonderful surface), no high heat (that peels the wonderful surface), or super cold (that can buckle the wonderful surface) ...

no wonder they call him teflon john.
